Standard vs Ultimate
Rockstar is shipping Grand Theft Auto VI in two editions - Standard and Ultimate - plus a time-limited pre-order bonus pack. There is no collector's edition of the game: Rockstar's Collector's Box (€399.99, reported at $399.99 in the US) is merchandise only, and the game is sold separately. One big catch: there is no disc version at all.

FAQ
Does GTA 6 have a disc version?
No. There is no disc at all - boxed retail copies contain a download code ("code-in-a-box"), and every player downloads the full game. The Ultimate Edition is digital-only, with no boxed version.
Is there a GTA 6 collector's edition?
Not of the game. Rockstar sells The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, a limited Collector's Box of merchandise (a Macca the Gator figure, Oakley sunglasses, a New Era cap and more), shipping from November 19. It is €399.99 on the Rockstar Store in Europe and reported at $399.99 in the US and £349.99 in the UK. The game is sold separately.
Do PlayStation pre-orders get anything extra?
Yes: buy the digital game on the PlayStation Store before November 20, 2026 and you can claim one month of GTA+ until March 31, 2027. It turns into a paid subscription unless you cancel. Every pre-order, on any store, also gets the Vintage Vice City Pack.
Can I upgrade from Standard to Ultimate later?
Yes - Rockstar has confirmed a separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade purchasable at any time, so buying Standard now doesn't lock you out.
Is the Ultimate Edition content online-only?
No. The exclusive shops and missions are single-player content, which is what makes the $20 premium meaningful for solo players.
Do I lose the pre-order bonus if I buy digitally on launch day?
Any digital purchase made before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack - that covers launch-day digital buys, not just pre-orders.
